UAE Announces ‘Zero Bureaucracy Program’ To Reduce Bureaucracy
The program aims to streamline bureaucratic procedures by eliminating 2,000 government processes over the course of the next year.The United Arab Emirates has unveiled the “Zero Bureaucracy Program” with the objective of minimizing bureaucratic hurdles and enhancing public convenience. As part of this initiative, the UAE plans to eliminate 2,000 government processes over the upcoming year.The ministries and federal agencies of the United Arab Emirates have been directed to complete at least 2,000 government processes within one year and reduce the time needed for the remaining processes by half.Regarding this initiative, the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emphasized that the elimination of bureaucracy and the prompt delivery of government services are two core principles of the country’s future policy.He remarked that while the aim of processes is to simplify people’s lives, bureaucracy often presents the most significant challenge for any government striving to enhance public services.Under the program, it has been announced that a reward of 1 million Dirhams will be granted to officials or teams showcasing remarkable efficiency in eliminating unnecessary government processes.
