Police Foils Smuggling Attempt Of Non-custom Paid Products
Police foiled an attempt of smuggling non-custom paid products from Balochistan to Punjab on Wednesday
On Wednesday, police successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle non-custom paid goods from Balochistan into Punjab.
Police sources reported that a joint operation was conducted by a team from Sakhi Sarwar police station and Rangers targeting smugglers engaged in the illegal transportation of non-custom paid products into Punjab.
During the operation, a passenger bus with the registration number LES-7862, traveling from Quetta to Lahore, was stopped by the team. Subsequently, a substantial quantity of imported cigarettes and electrical items were discovered and seized from the bus.
The seized items were then handed over to the customs department for further legal proceedings.
DSP Syed Hammad Nabi emphasized that stringent action is being taken against smugglers without any bias or discrimination.
