Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated on Monday that the country was progressing in the right direction and would soon achieve economic growth.
In an interview with a private news channel, he mentioned that economic indicators were showing signs of improvement, fostering optimism regarding the achievement of national objectives.
Asif emphasized the increasing attractiveness of the investment climate, noting significant inflows of foreign investment.
Addressing a query, he criticized the former Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for consistently making unfounded accusations against others.
He alleged that the PTI founder was the only politician who received gifts from Toshakhana and then sold them.
Regarding the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), he remarked that there were elements who did not desire a resolution; instead, they sought further deterioration.
“Some elements were opposed to a peaceful resolution; they preferred the situation to spiral out of control,” he remarked.
