Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Premium Diagnostic Center, Islamabad (PDC) to provide lab facilities to employees at discounted rates

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Premium Diagnostic Center, Islamabad (PDC) to offer lab facilities to employees at discounted rates.

The ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, who emphasized that the well-being and health of employees and their families are top priorities, noting that healthy individuals perform their duties with vigor.

The MoU was signed by AIOU Registrar, Raja Umer Yunis, and PDC’s Director of Corporate Relations, Muhammad Rashid. Also present at the ceremony were Dr. Iqbal, President of the Academic Staff Association (ASA), Yasir Mehmood, President of the Employees Welfare Association (EWA), as well as Medical Officer Dr. Hira, and other employees.

As per the MoU details, PDC will offer lab tests at discounted rates to AIOU employees and their families, including a 50% discount on medical tests and a 35% discount on radiology services. Additionally, PDC will provide free home sample collection services and other health facilities such as x-rays and ultrasounds at the doorstep.

The Employees Welfare Association (EWA) is actively engaged in initiatives to enhance the welfare of AIOU employees, with President Yasir Muhammad affirming ongoing efforts to support employees and the university through collaborations and MoUs.
