5 Customs Officials Martyred As Their Vehicle Ambushed By Terrorists In D I Khan
At least five Customs officials were killed as their vehicle was ambushed by terrorists near the Saggu village of D I Khan District on Thursday
On Thursday, tragedy struck as at least five Customs officials lost their lives in a terrorist ambush near Saggu village in the D I Khan District.
As per reports from the Police Control Room, armed assailants launched a sudden and indiscriminate attack on a Customs Intelligence vehicle within the jurisdiction of the Darban Police Station, resulting in the tragic demise of five Customs officials.
The attack caused the Customs vehicle to collide with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, leading to injuries to two individuals, including a child.
Following the incident, the assailants managed to flee the scene, evading capture.
Upon receiving news of the attack, a significant deployment of police and Rescue 1122 personnel swiftly arrived at the location, transporting the injured and deceased to the hospital for medical attention and formalities.
According to an official statement from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Customs (Peshawar) was engaged in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) along Daraban Road, near Saggu village, when they came under attack.
The officials who tragically lost their lives in the ambush were identified as Intelligence Officer Aslam Khan, Havaldar Inayat Ullah Khan, Havaldar Akbar Zaman, Sepoy Iftikhar Alam, and Sepoy Shahab Ali.
The Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Member Customs (Operations), Director General of Intelligence and Investigation (Customs), and other officials of the Pakistan Customs Service expressed their heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred officials during this difficult time.
