Blind Murder Traced, 5 Including Constable Arrested
Jhang Bazaar police claimed to have traced out a blind murder within three weeks and arrested five accused including a police constable on murder charges
The Jhang Bazaar police announced the resolution of a blind murder case within three weeks, leading to the arrest of five suspects, including a police constable, on murder charges.
According to a police spokesperson on Wednesday, Zeeshan Ahmad, a resident of Mustafa Abad, and his wife Shazia Bibi were traveling on a motorcycle for Eid shopping when unidentified motorcyclists pursued and fatally shot Zeeshan near Darbar Baba Lasoori Shah.
Following a complaint from Shazia Bibi, the police initiated a case and commenced an investigation using scientific methods.
Investigators successfully located the primary suspect, Shoaib, the shooter, and detained him for questioning. During initial interrogation, Shoaib disclosed that Hasan Khan had hired him to kill his cousin Zeeshan Ahmad. Shoaib, along with accomplices including police constable Talha, Rizwan, Zain, and Shehzad, carried out the murder on Lasoori Shah Road.
Acting on Shoaib’s information, the police arrested constable Talha, Rizwan, Zain, and Shehzad three weeks after the incident. The spokesperson noted that further investigation was ongoing.
