On Tuesday, Pakistan’s Consul General Hussain Muhammad stated that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) serves as a second home to approximately 1.8 million Pakistanis who are actively contributing to its development.
Addressing a gathering of UAE-based media personnel and community members, the Consul General expressed gratitude to the host country for employing the services of these Pakistanis, who serve as a source of livelihood for around 2 million families.
Recognizing the significant and impactful role of the media, he expressed, “You are the bridge between the mission and our community. Your role is pivotal in communicating essential messages and gathering feedback from the community, which is invaluable in addressing their concerns.”
The consul general highlighted that hosting Iftari was part of an outreach initiative led by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s envoy to the UAE, aimed at strengthening communication with the Pakistani community residing in the United Arab Emirates.
He emphasized the importance for all Pakistanis to adhere to local laws, respect societal norms, and show due regard for government policies.
The consul general urged media representatives to contribute towards raising awareness within the Pakistani community, which would ultimately lead to improved compliance.
The event was also attended by Deputy Head of Mission at Pakistan’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Afaq Ahmad, along with officers from both the Consulate and Embassy.
