Animal Actor Shafina Shah Loses Ms.Pakistan Title
The Miss Pakistan Company had steadfastly supported Shafina, even securing her participation in Miss Global despite her exceeding the age limit.
Shafina Shah, who gained recognition for her role in the movie “Animal,” has had her Ms. Pakistan title revoked following allegations of repeatedly requesting financial assistance for her film projects from Sonia Ahmed, the President of Miss Pakistan.
In an interview, Ahmed revealed, “Since November 2023, Shafina’s mother, Atia Shah, has continuously sought financial support for her daughter’s movie ventures. Despite attempts to encourage them to explore local opportunities, they persisted in seeking funds. Even when given another opportunity for an international pageant in March, they continued to request financial assistance.”
The situation escalated further when Shafina posted a video on social media alleging a lack of support from the national director, adding fuel to the controversy.
Despite Shafina Shah exceeding the age limit, the Miss Pakistan Company had steadfastly supported her, even facilitating her participation in Miss Global. Sonia Ahmed emphasized the extensive promotional efforts made on Shafina’s behalf, which included media appearances and press releases.
In response to Shafina’s actions, Ahmed regretfully revoked her titles and issued a warning against unauthorized use. Any charitable organizations associated with the title without consent will face legal repercussions.
Ahmed clarified the stance of the organization, stating, “While we have supported Shafina, we cannot be expected to finance her film ventures. We have advised her to cease soliciting funds, and we will not contribute to any future projects.”
Despite efforts to clarify the situation, Shafina remained silent.
