Man Gets 14 Years Imprisonment In Drugs Case

A District and Sessions Court on Friday awarded 14 years’ imprisonment to an accused in a drug smuggling case

On Friday, a District and Sessions Court handed down a 14-year prison sentence to an individual convicted in a drug smuggling case.

A police spokesman stated that the accused, identified as Amrez Khan alias Majee Butt, was found to be in possession of 2,060 grams of heroin. He was apprehended by Pirwadahi police in 2023.

Following the recording of evidence from witnesses and concluding arguments presented by both the defense and prosecution counsels, the judge imposed an additional fine of Rs 500,000 on the convict.
