Step Afoot To Develop Industrial Sectors In Balochistan: Pirkani

On Thursday, Secretary of Industries Noor Ahmed Pirkani announced that the government is taking practical steps to promote industrial development in Balochistan.

He assured that the issues faced by the Gadani marble industry and the Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority (LIEDA) would be addressed as a priority.

Pirkani shared these views while speaking to LIEDA officers during his visit to Marble City.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Farid Ahmad Khan Muhammad Hassani, the Managing Director of LIEDA, and Shafiq Ahmed Qasmi, the Director of Marble City.

The Managing Director of LIEDA and a representative from the Marble City Association provided the Secretary with a briefing on various marble processing activities.

The Secretary of Industry and Commerce directed that better facilities should be provided to the Marble City Industrial Estate to support the growth of the marble industry.

He emphasized that the government of Balochistan is particularly focused on industrial sectors near Karachi, providing all necessary facilities to marble zone industrialists to support economic development in both Balochistan and the broader country.
