KP Petrol Pumps, Dealers Call Off Strike
The Pakhtukhwa Petroleum Dealers & Carriage Association called off their strike after successful negotiations with the district administration on Monday.
On the directives of the Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Aafaq Wazir, held a meeting with the office bearers of the association. Participants included Chairman Abdul Majid Khan, General Secretary Gul Nawaz Afridi, and other members of the KP Petroleum Dealers & Carriage Association.
During the meeting, the office bearers of the association presented their concerns in detail to the Deputy Commissioner. Following this, a consensus was reached to initiate operations against illegal petrol pumps and sale points to ensure their eradication as soon as possible.
The association also agreed to fully cooperate with the district administration in tackling illegal petrol pumps and the sale of Iranian petrol. They committed to testing samples from their petrol pumps through laboratory analysis and presenting certificates to the district administration.
The Deputy Commissioner listened to other concerns of the association with keen interest and assured them of full cooperation.
