The Pakistan cricket team management has decided to incorporate Haris Rauf and Usman Khan into the lineup for the initial T20I encounter against England, according to sources close to the matter on Monday.
The sources revealed that the management opted to approach the T20 series against England with full force, meticulously considering World Cup preparations.
The four-game T20I series between Pakistan and England is scheduled from May 22 to May 30, causing both sides to forgo World Cup warm-up fixtures due to this engagement.
In terms of squad composition, Usman Khan is projected to replace Saim Ayub in the starting eleven, while pace bowler Haris Rauf is set to replace Hasan Ali in the squad.
Additionally, there is a likelihood that fast bowler Naseem Shah will be included in Pakistan’s starting lineup, with deliberations also underway regarding the potential inclusion of either Shadab Khan or Abrar Ahmed in the forthcoming matches.
Furthermore, the sources stated that the final decision would be subject to discussions with the head coach of the white-ball team, Gary Kirsten.
