The Ghari Habibullah police apprehended a man on Thursday for allegedly assaulting an 8-year-old girl, following thorough investigations and evidence gathering.
The incident occurred in the village of Dalola Mohri within the jurisdiction of the Ghari Habibullah police station in Mansehra. The police arrested the accused, identified as Gohar Aman, son of Faqeer Muhammad, and registered a case under the Child Protection Act.
District Police Officer (DPO) Manshera, Shafiullah Gandapur, visited the hospital to meet with the victim and her family. He assured them of justice and advocated for strict legal action against the perpetrator.
The DPO instructed for a comprehensive investigation by the DSP Investigation, with the SHO of Ghari Habibullah Police Station appointed as the investigating officer.
Furthermore, DPO Manshera convened a special meeting with medical professionals to assess the girl’s condition and ensure she receives appropriate care.
Under his directives, the Victim Support Service (VSS) team provided psychological support and therapy to the affected girl. This underscores the importance of holistic support for victims of traumatic incidents like this.
