PM Shehbaz Asked To Extend Hand To Imran Khan, India
A renowned businessman lauds Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for securing IMF bailout package while presenting his recommendations to bring more improvements in the economy.
A prominent businessman urged Prime Minister Shehbaz to reach out to neighboring countries, including India, as well as to engage with individuals such as the “resident of Adiala jail.”
Arif Habib, a distinguished businessman, proposed this idea during a question and answer session with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Karachi on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz was interacting with the local business community, listening to their concerns and queries about trade and the economy.
Arif Habib commended PM Shehbaz’s initiatives in securing a bailout package from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Recalling his meeting with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in June of the previous year, Habib suggested that the prime minister should extend his outreach not only to neighboring countries like India but also to Imran Khan, presently incarcerated in Adiala jail.
“I believe such gestures could play a role in stabilizing the country,” remarked the businessman.
The prime minister reiterated his dedication to collaborating closely with the Sindh government to enhance Pakistan’s welfare.
He reassured Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah of the federal government’s complete assistance in tackling the concerns raised by provincial authorities.
Recognizing the significance of federal-provincial cooperation, PM Shehbaz emphasized that such collaboration is essential for the advancement and prosperity of the nation. He pledged steadfast support to CM Murad Ali Shah and affirmed his readiness to provide assistance whenever required.
The prime minister affirmed his dedication to forging a strong partnership with the Sindh government to advance Pakistan’s interests.
He provided assurance to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah that the federal government would offer comprehensive assistance in resolving the concerns brought forth by provincial authorities.
Recognizing the significance of synergy between federal and provincial administrations, PM Shehbaz emphasized its pivotal role in advancing the nation’s development and well-being. He reiterated his unwavering support to CM Murad Ali Shah, ensuring him of prompt assistance whenever required.

The prime minister’s assurance came in response to grievances expressed by the provincial chief minister regarding the perceived lack of federal support for Sindh’s participation in new development initiatives.
CM Murad Ali Shah emphasized the sense of neglect experienced by Sindh from the federal government in recent times, stressing the urgent requirement for increased attention to address the province’s developmental requirements.
