CPO Orders Arrest Of Former Constable Over Festive Firing

City Police Officer (CPO) Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia has directed the police to arrest former constable on charge of displaying weapon and resorting to firing into the air in jubilation

City Police Officer (CPO) Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia has instructed the police to apprehend a former constable on charges of brandishing a weapon and firing into the air in celebration.

A police spokesperson stated on Saturday that a video circulating on social media showed former police constable Shahid Nadeem displaying a weapon and engaging in celebratory gunfire.

Previously, the aforementioned constable was dismissed from service on January 23, 2024, due to a violation of the law.

After being found involved in displaying a weapon and engaging in celebratory aerial firing, the City Police Officer (CPO) of Faisalabad directed the SP Madina Division to investigate the matter promptly and submit a report. The CPO also instructed to ensure the arrest of the accused so that appropriate legal action could be taken against him.

As a result, the Nishatabad police registered a case and initiated an investigation to apprehend the said accused, as stated by the spokesperson.
