Youm-e-Ali (R A) Observed Peacefully In Karachi
Youm-e-Shahadat, (the Martyrdom day) of Hazrat Ali (R A) was observed with due solemnity and sanctity here on Monday (21st of Ramazan) with several processions taken out by the mourners from different parts of the metropolis joining the traditional gathering at Nishtar Park
On April 1st, 2024, Youm-e-Shahadat, the Martyrdom day, of Hazrat Ali (R.A) was observed with solemnity and sanctity in the city. Mourners from various parts of the metropolis participated in several processions, converging at the traditional gathering held at Nishtar Park to commemorate the occasion on Monday, the 21st of Ramazan.
Thousands of faithful individuals, including men, women, and children, attended the majlis addressed by religious scholars. After the majlis at Nishtar Park, the main procession commenced its march towards the culmination point. Zohrain prayer was performed at the Numaish intersection, and the procession continued its route towards Hussainya Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.
The procession concluded peacefully and in an organized manner at the Imam Bargah in Kharadar, an area in the old city.
Amid stringent security measures, the Police, Rangers, and other security agencies were deployed to ensure safety during Youm-e-Ali, and no untoward incidents were reported.
Traffic was diverted towards alternate routes leading to Shahrae Faisal as previously announced by the city administration, which resulted in congestion in surrounding areas.
The procession was closely monitored by CCTV cameras, and containers were placed along the procession routes from Numaish Chowrangi to Kharadar. Expert snipers were stationed on high-rise buildings along the main procession route, while adjacent markets and streets were sealed for security purposes.
