UHS Declares MBBS First Prof, MS Urology Exam Results
These were the first exams conducted under the new “Curriculum 2K23” introduced by UHS last year.
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) unveiled the results of the first professional MBBS (Modular System) annual examinations 2023 on Friday.
These examinations marked the inaugural assessments conducted under the new “Curriculum 2K23,” introduced by UHS the previous year.
According to the notification from the examination department, a total of 5589 candidates from 44 medical colleges participated in the exam. Out of these, 4945 candidates passed, while 622 candidates failed, resulting in a success rate of 88.83 percent.
Asad Ali of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Medical and Dental College Lahore secured the first position with 826 out of 900 marks. Amna Mufti of Aziz Fatima Medical and Dental College Faisalabad achieved the second position with 821 marks, while Sehrish Batool of Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore attained the third position with 812 marks.
In total, 60 candidates in block one, 262 in block two, and 158 in block three achieved distinction in the exams. The UHS spokesperson emphasized that these examinations were conducted in accordance with the new examination policy of the university.
In each subject, candidates are assessed by 12 examiners, and the latest concepts of medical education are incorporated at all stages of the assessment.
Furthermore, UHS has also announced the results of the MS Urology final 1st annual exams. Thirty candidates from nine post-graduate institutions participated in the examination under the Central Induction Scheme, with 11 passing and 19 failing.
The examinations concluded on Friday, and in line with the policy, the results were promptly released. This marks the first instance of UHS conducting the exams on its premises.
A policy of “Neutral Examiners, Neutral Centers” has been implemented to ensure transparency in higher professional examinations.
The spokesperson mentioned that there were 18 senior examiners in the MS Urology clinical exam who have expressed confidence in the quality of the exams and the new examination policy of UHS. All results are accessible on the UHS website.
