On Tuesday, the Railways police requested the Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate II to revoke the bail of Constable Mir Hassan, who allegedly assaulted a female passenger on the Millat Express on April 7.<\/p>\n
In his application to the court, the SHO of Railways Police, Ghulam Hussain Brohi, informed that the woman in question, 29-year-old Maryam, was discovered dead a day later in a district of Punjab.<\/p>\n
He recalled that the Railways Police had apprehended Hassan on April 13 after a video surfaced on social media showing him mistreating the woman, who was accompanied by her son and nephew.<\/p>\n
He further stated that the suspect was presented before the duty magistrate to request a 14-day physical remand, but the judge granted him bail upon submission of a surety of Rs 35,000.<\/p>\n
Brohi mentioned that after obtaining bail, Hassan was uncooperative with the investigating team and had relocated to a place in Karachi despite residing in the Nai Pul area of Hyderabad.<\/p>\n
