The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the suspension of diplomatic coordination with Israel.<\/p>\n
This decision comes in response to a tragic incident in Gaza where seven aid workers lost their lives, reportedly due to actions by Israeli occupation forces.<\/p>\n
Israeli media further reported that the Emirati Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern to the Israeli ambassador, Amir Hayek.<\/p>\n
Sources from a Tel Aviv-based news channel emphasized that the Emirati response to the unfortunate incident was one of outrage.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, initiated a telephone conversation with his counterpart in the UAE, Abdullah bin Zayed, in an attempt to address the situation.<\/p>\n
In an effort to find a resolution, the Director-General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Yaakov Blitshtein, engaged in discussions with Ambassador Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Khaja. Ambassador Al-Khaja conveyed his deep concern, describing the current state of relations between the two nations as “the darkest day.”<\/p>\n
In response to the incident, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the deaths of the aid workers were unintentional.<\/p>\n
